Relaxing Musical Afternoon of Harp Playing at Over Day Centre

Our clients had the opportunity to listen to the beautiful and relaxing music of harpsit Julia Mitchell this afternoon. Julia played a variety of popular music, not just classical, which clients could sing along to!

Most wonderfully of all, Julia brought in a second, portable instrument (known as a therapy harp) and a lyre which she passed around for clients to play. Whilst shy at first, it was clear that everyone enjoyed having a go at playing the variety of instruments.

It's lovely here. I like all the activities and I have friends I sit with. I like the word games best (like Word in a Word) but I'm happy with any quizzes and also the singers that come in to entertain us. I've even done some drumming. We also have animals to visit, like dogs (trained as therapy pets) which I enjoy. The staff look after me and I really like the food. The lunches are really good.
