Pets as Therapy Visit Over Day Centre

Our charity is incredibly lucky to have regular visits from some beautiful, fully trained dogs that volunteer 'free of charge' for Pets as Therapy. Our clients benefit so much from these visits, especially as some are no longer able to keep dogs of their own. The smiles on our clients' faces tell you just how much these visits are valued by them.

To say a small thank you to Pets as Therapy, Over Day Centre Administrator, Halina, and her son, Max, have been raising money for the animal charity by taking part in 'Walk This May'. Halina and Max have taken up the challenge to each walk 100km by the end of this month. Max has now walked 104.7km (and plans to keep going). Halina is lagging a little behind, having walked 82.5km (but there are still 8 days to go)! The pair have had the joy of being joined on some of their walks by Bear the Burnese and his owner, Michelle, who volunteers at Over Day Centre.

If you would like to show support for Halina and Max, you can donate via their team page, which has been set up by Pets as Therapy: https://petsastherapy.enthuse.com/pf/paws-for-thought.

Thank you for your support!

The place is wonderful. I am sociable and like to go out. When I come to the Day Centre, I chat with people. We have the same interests. I like the musical entertainment, because I am in a choir and have always liked music. But I like everything we do with the staff. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. They always make me feel welcome. I like the garden.
