Over Memory Café & Lunch Club - Saturday February 22

What a brilliant day, starting with a great acoustic session and culminating in 29 diners enjoying a wonderful lunch. Along with our Café and Lunch Club guests we also welcomed friends from Cambridge County Council who have been enormously supportive. Tom and Sophie provided great music, then an exercise session to ballroom music by Kelly and then help in serving lunch. For more information on the Memory Cafe please visit our FaceBook page https://www.facebook.com/OverMemoryCafe

It is testament to all who helped on the day, at previous cafes and to those who again provided some fantastic cakes and savouries that we were able to have so much fun. A massive thanks to all who made the day such a joy for our guests and diners. I do hope everyone enjoyed the morning and lunch.

Feedback for the Cafe and Lunch was amazing, numerous compliments for the lunch, especially the quality of the ham, well done chefs.

We also launched a loyalty card for lunches where the third booking made will be free, again it is with great thanks agin to Cambridge County Council whose support has enabled to do so. Please make your booking for March on our Saturday Lunch Club page

Planning for our next Café on March 22 is underway, when we’ll welcome Stuart Green to entertain us, fresh from his trip to Nashville. We look forward to seeing you then.

My mother, Jean, attends the Over Day Centre on two days per week, sometimes three (if there are events, like craft/art sessions that she wants to attend as an extra). Mum first started attending the Day Centre as I was so worried that she was getting lonely and, as she was not able to drive anymore, was not having an active life. Right from the start the Centre has been marvellous for her.
