Olympic Sport Day - Boccia

Thanks to two wonderful members of the St. Ives Rotary Club, Sandra and Gail, our clients had the opportunity to learn the Paralympic sport of Boccia. Similar to bowls, the game is played seated and indoors. Once furniture was moved aside, our Day Room proved to be an ideal space for the game. From the amount of noise this afternoon, as teams got competitive, it was obvious that Boccia was a big hit! Everyone, without acception, enjoyed taking part.

Thank you, Sandra and Gail.

We also celebrated Superhero Day (spot the two Batman lookalikes).

“My niece organised for me to come because I live alone. I thoroughly enjoy it and look forward to my days at the Day Centre. I have a lovely meal, get my hair done, have my nails polished and chat to the new friends that I’ve made.
