We had a joyous and busy Christmas at the Day Centre, with a range of activities to entertain our clients and staff.

Staff and clients spent a grey Monday morning decorating the Day Centre to help everyone feel Christmassy and clients then enjoyed creating decorations for a new tinsel tree that decorated the wall in our dining room. They also busied themselves making crackers for our annual Christmas dinner which was held on Monday 23 December, complete with a visit from Santa and a musical afternoon from Elvis tribute singer, Gary Jay.
The week before the big day, we welcomed Pastor David Smith and Kathy Beaumont for a beautiful carol service for our clients. On a cold and blustery morning it was lovely to hear everyone raise their voices in a communal singalong, which continued as we enjoyed an afternoon of fabulous rocking entertainment with Rebecca.
And finally, our cook Melissa treated everyone to a fabulous traditional turkey roast, and our thanks went out to 'First National Oven Clean and Repair' for kindly donating the locally sourced, organic turkey crowns. We would also like to thank St. Ives Rotary Club for their £400 donation towards our Christmas festivities. It was lovely to be able to welcome their members once more to our Christmas party, which included a great afternoon of live rock'n'roll music supplied by Elvis tribute singer, Gary Jay.
Clients were also visited by Father Christmas himself aka Dave (also a client) who has been our Santa now for the last three years.
You can see a host of lovely Christmas photos in our image gallery and on our Facebook page.
