Celebrating Father's Day, Gardening, Dancing and Pets as Therapy

It's been a busy Friday for the clients at Over Day Centre today.

The morning began with a cuddly visit from Pets as Therapy dog, Bear and his owner Michelle. Bear has been visiting now for a few months and it's obvious how happy he is to come to the centre (getting hugs, kisses and a supply of healthy, little treats from the clients).

With the weather being so glorious, some clients chose to sit in our new garden area. As you can see from the photos, the hose pipe got some use, watering the beds and the veg in our mini greenhouse.

The afternoon was spent dancing - inspite of the heat - to a medley of pop and rock favourites sung by Stuart Green. Stuart had been invited to Over Day Centre to help us celebrate Father's Day (a little bit early).

Here's wishing all dads, and grandads, and great-grandads, a very Happy Father's Day on Sunday 15th of June!

I haven't been coming long but I can tell you that this is a great place. The staff are so lovely and they are such good carers. They are checking on everyone all the time. As soon as they think someone needs help, they are there straightaway. They are just very lovely carers and look after us. I like that we are always doing things like quizzes and games.
