A fantastic visit to the Cromwell Museum!

Clients from the Day Centre had a fabulous time at the Cromwell Museum in Huntingdon, hosted by Kristina Kapitza, the Learning and Communities Officer for the museum.

The event was held at Huntingdon Town Hall in one of the old law courts, and Kristina brought with her numerous items from the time of the English Civil War, that our clients could handle (and even wear).

The outing was such a success (as can be seen from the photos in the gallery) that we plan to visit again in the future.

Thank you to Kristina for an informative talk about Oliver Cromwell and the English Civil War. Thank you also to the Bar Hill Community Association for their grant to cover the cost of our trip. Over Day Centre doesn't just serve the village of Over. We currently have clients from 16 Cambridgeshire villages, and we're delighted to support anyone who might need our charity.

“My niece organised for me to come because I live alone. I thoroughly enjoy it and look forward to my days at the Day Centre. I have a lovely meal, get my hair done, have my nails polished and chat to the new friends that I’ve made.
