Meet the team

I have 21 years of experience in the care industry and have worked at the Day Centre since 2011. I am passionate about looking after older people, and I am committed to making Over Day Centre a friendly, fun, and caring place. As Centre Manager, I am proud of how dedicated my staff are to caring for the clients and meeting individual needs. I am especially interested in new developments in dementia care. Outside work I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my grandchildren, and I love going for long walks with my dogs.

I have worked at the Day Centre for 12 years in a variety of roles: Cook, Bank Staff Carer, Minutes Secretary and Administrator. It’s a place that’s dear to my heart. My background is in graphic design/animation and I volunteer as an Art Assistant at a secondary college. I hold a Masters degree in Theology and Gender Studies. One of my hobbies is blackwork embroidery. Due to my Polish ancestry, I am interested in Slavic history and culture. I practise Qigong, Pranayama and meditate.I try to go for a 2-3 mile walk in nature every day and this inspires my multimedia abstract landscapes. I also sponsor the education of girls through Plan International, and am a member of the RSPB. Mostly importantly, I love spending time with a teenage son.

I have been working with older people and dementia sufferers for 18 years. I enjoy the care sector, especially being a companion and friend to those who really need someone. I really enjoy what I do. When I am not working, I spend my time with family and friends, going on adventures and trying new things.

I have been employed as the Day Centre Minibus Driver for 20 years. My hobbies include restoring classic cars and motorbikes.
