Five Pub Challenge & Meridian Meander

The Five Pub Challenge opens for registration at 9.30am at Over Day Centre (tea/coffee will be on sale). The walk winds past The Pike & Eel in Needingworth, The Ferry Boat in Holywell (free soup and a bread roll available only between 12.00pm and 2.00pm), The Three Tuns in Fen Drayton (free cone of chips for those arriving before 2.30pm with the purchase of a drink). It then continues on to The White Horse in Swavesey (free choc ice) and finishes at The Admiral Vernon in Over (free piece of homemade cake and a certificate). This walk will be marked with directional arrows and instructions/maps will be provided on the day.

You can register on the day or before the event. The pre-entry donation is £10 per adult (£12 entry on the day) and £6 for under 18's. Download registration form at the top of this page.

The Meridian Meander event offers two circular walks/runs following the valley of the River Great Ouse, passing through historic St. Ives and its picturesque surrounding villages. Registration for both the 18 and the 26 mile routes opens at 8.00am and closes at 9.00am at The Over Day Centre. There is plentiful parking at or nearby. There are checkpoints on route where free light refreshments will be provided. Both walks/runs will finish at The Over Community Centre, The Doles, CB24 5NW (a short walk from the start). Please be aware that these walks will not be way-marked, but detailed written instructions will be sent in advance of the walks - please bring these with you on the day. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Registration for the Meridian Meander is by pre-entry ONLY - and by registration online - with a closing date of Wednesday 6th May and a suggested donation of £10 per adult.
